Court-ready exhibit sets.
Built in your browser.
Drop in a folder of documents. ExhibitSet will make scans searchable, redact, apply Bates numbers and exhibit labels, build the index and bookmarks, check the set against filing rules, and hand you the ZIP with a production log. Nothing is uploaded, ever.
Built for paralegals and litigation teams at US firms. Runs in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. No install, no IT ticket. Your files never leave your computer, by design.
Six steps that used to mean six tools and an afternoon.
ExhibitSet runs them in order, on your own machine, and shows progress page by page. All six steps are built and in early access today.
Make scans searchable
Image-only pages get an invisible text layer so you can search and redact them. Pages it reads with low confidence are named, so you can check those by eye.
Redact
Search a name, a phrase or a pattern like an SSN, then approve each match page by page. Content is removed, not covered, and ExhibitSet proves it. How true redaction works.
Bates and exhibit labels
Prefix, zero-padding, position, confidentiality legend. Exhibit numbers per document, Bates per page. Bates numbering guide.
Build the set
Sections, a table of contents with page ranges, clickable links and bookmarks. Reorder and rebuild in one click. Every page that goes in is stripped of scripts, external links and attachments first.
Check for filing
File size, searchable text, flattened forms, bookmarks, no stray comments. Fix problems with one click, or split a filing that is over the court’s size cap into labelled parts, each with its own report.
Export
A ZIP of the production plus a log with every Bates range and a SHA-256 fingerprint of every file.
Everything a physical exhibit set gives you. Nothing to punch, collate, or ship.
Paralegals know exactly what a good divider set looks like. ExhibitSet keeps every one of those conventions and makes them automatic. Here is the mapping.
Tab styles
Avery-style and legal-style tabs in Helvetica bold, numbered 1–25, 26–50, 1–100, or lettered A–Z.
In ExhibitSet: exhibit labels, numbered or lettered in any range you choose, stamped on the first page of each document and mirrored as PDF bookmarks. Bates numbers run separately, page by page.
Table of contents
A matching index or “Table of Contents” tab that lists the categorized documents.
In ExhibitSet: a generated index page with section, title, date and page range for every exhibit, each entry a clickable link. Add or remove a document and the index, page numbers and bookmarks rebuild together.
Reinforced, rip-proof design
Laminated tabs and unpunched binding edges, so the set fits any binder or ring system.
In ExhibitSet: bookmarks and links that survive merging, splitting and re-ordering, and output as a standard PDF that opens in any court system, review platform or Acrobat. Print it and the physical tabs match the digital index one for one.
Compliance
Conforms to standard state and federal court filing requirements.
In ExhibitSet: a preflight check against federal CM-ECF rules and the UK e-bundle guidance, each profile citing its sources: size limits, searchable text, bookmarks on long filings, flattened forms, no comments or attachments, PDF/A readiness. Pass or fail, with one-click fixes, and every limit editable.
Read the full guide to exhibit sets. Still need physical divider packs for the courtroom? Buy them from any office supplier. ExhibitSet’s printed set will follow the same tab order and index, so the binder and the e-filed PDF agree.
Seven things nobody else gives you in one place.
All seven are in early access today. Sign in with your e-mail to start; billing switches on when early access ends.
Nothing is uploaded, and you can check
Every page is processed inside your browser tab. Our server only ever sees your e-mail address and your matter names. Open the browser’s Network tab and watch: no document bytes leave.
The whole production, one flow
OCR, redaction, Bates, the exhibit set, filing checks and the log, in one pass. Other tools do one slice and leave you to stitch the rest together in Acrobat.
Redaction that proves itself
Text and image data are physically removed. After applying, ExhibitSet re-reads the file and shows zero hits for every redacted term, and refuses to report success otherwise. The redaction log downloads with the file.
Numbering that never restarts
ExhibitSet remembers the last Bates number on each matter and reserves ranges, so two people on the same case do not collide. The most common production error, designed out.
Filing checks before you file
Pick a court profile, see pass or fail, fix with one click. Size caps, searchable text, bookmarks, flattened forms, no stray comments, PDF/A readiness, with the rules and their sources shown with the report.
A defensible production log
Every file, its page count, its Bates range and a SHA-256 fingerprint of the input and the output. Downloaded by you, never stored by us.
No install, no IT ticket
Open Chrome or Edge and work. No desktop software to approve, no server to run, nothing for IT to maintain.

BatesFast is excellent at exactly one thing, Bates stamping, and it keeps your files local just like we do. If that is all you need, buy it. ExhibitSet is for the rest of the production.
Don’t trust the badge. Check the network.
Most “secure” legal tools ask you to upload client documents to their servers and take their word for it. ExhibitSet is built so that there is nothing to take on faith.
Network tab open and see for yourself that no document bytes leave.Once you have signed in, ExhibitSet keeps working offline for seven days, so you can close the laptop mid-production and pick up where you left off.
Simple. In US dollars. Cancel any time.
Per user, per month, with a cap for the whole firm. Free during early access; paid plans switch on when it ends.
Per user
Whole firm, up to 28 users
29 users and up
You pay per user until the whole-firm price is cheaper (from 14 users on the annual plan). Pick your team size and billing period on the pricing page. The free plan stays: the redaction tool, unlimited, and three Bates jobs a month, no card. One matter, no subscription? A Matter Pass is $49 once for 30 days of full access. Paid plans switch on when early access ends.
The ones we get asked first.
Do you really never see our documents?
Correct, by design. The processing happens inside your browser tab. Our server handles only sign-in, what you type about a matter (its name, a client reference, the Bates prefix, digit width and counters, the court profile, and any label you put on a reserved range), who else on your team can see it, how many stamping jobs you have used, and billing when paid plans switch on. There is no upload button because there is no upload.
Is the redaction real, or just a black box?
Real. The underlying text and image data is removed from the file. After applying, ExhibitSet re-reads the output and shows you that each redacted term returns zero results, and it refuses to report success otherwise. The redaction log downloads with the file.
Does it handle FRCP 34 productions and Bates conventions?
Yes. Prefix, zero-padded sequential Bates numbers that continue across files and, with an account, across productions on the same matter; a confidentiality legend on a second line; exhibit labels per document. The production log records every range with a SHA-256 fingerprint of every file.
Which browsers work?
Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge on Windows or Mac. We build for Chrome specifically so large productions run fast and reliably. Other browsers will not be supported.
How big a production can it handle?
Thousands of pages in a single batch on an ordinary office laptop: stamping runs at under a millisecond a page in our tests. Very large scanned sets take longer because OCR runs on your machine, and ExhibitSet shows progress page by page.
Will it meet my court’s e-filing rules?
ExhibitSet ships with a federal CM-ECF profile, built from the S.D.N.Y. and N.D. Cal. rules quoted with their sources, and a UK e-bundle profile, and lets you edit any rule. Limits vary by court and district, so always confirm against your court’s current guidance. ExhibitSet is not legal advice.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
There is nothing to delete except your matter names and Bates counters, and you can export those first. Your documents were never with us.
